Digital VS Traditional - [OC COMICS HERO]

"Wait ... Am I over ?... Is it really over ? ... I am losing ?!?"

I am finally back ~! 
I've been through a lot of exams lately, so I've been quite inactive, sorry.
Since I accumulate many options in school (including Art lessons which takes a huge amount of time) I didn't drew any single drawing for myself.
This drawing is also made in the school setting that is to say for my Art courses.
Thus this drawing is very important for me 'cause I'll have an huge Art exam in this current summer ("BAC" in french). I'm so so stressed ! 
My theme for the all year is the Digital Art.
In this gigantic mixed media illustration (50 x 65 cm) I wanted to deal with the duality between the Digital side (the right part of the drawing) and Traditional (the left side).

The strong contrast between black & white in this picture accentuate this duality.
I also worked on the composition in this drawing so the position of the hero slash this drawing in diagonal.
The traditional part was done with pencils which is the basic tool of every traditional artists.
I really like the fact that the digital side is so smooth in comparison to the traditional side which is very textured.
The process of this drawing was so damn long and painful. Actually this is my longest drawing ever done ! 
But it's also my personal favourite ! 

- CONTEXT OF THE DRAWING -

I wanted to deal with the situation of Comics and Bande Dessinnée artists in our era which are using the digital media increasingly (while the traditional media were used a lot more before).
Thus we're assisting to a disappearance of the traditional side and an emergence of the digital side (even though those artists tend to sketch traditionally).
Did you have noticed how every single Comics or Bande Dessinnée are all made in digital ?
I read some Comics artists testimonials thus I've concluded that most of them have to draw in digital because of the pressure of the editors with their senseless deadline.
Of course they think that digital is so much faster and easier than traditional (commodification of art pretty much) which is totally false ! What a cliché isn't it ?
Now, take a look of his expression. This is the expression of the broken artist who is totally surprised and overtaken by events.
He would like to act (the throwing fist) but he's stopped. He cannot fight back, overwhelmed with the constant pressure. The society don't listen to him (the buildings seems really cold plus they are no windows).
Those flying birds and the lights on the right are the only hope he still have ...
